Apex worked on a manor renovation to our house between February to July 2018. It involved an 80 ft double story extension plus altering the layout of most of the house and updating plumbing and electrics. Stuart has an excellent team working for him. He also has a wide network of experienced specialists for roofing/ plumbing/ plastering and electrics. Our lead builder was great and ensured we were given notice regarding timelines and also provided helpful advice/ support along the way. The build came in on schedule and on budget. Apex were sensitive to the fact that as a family of four we were still living in the house while the work was being done and proactively worked with us to minimise the disruption. So we’re very happy to recommend Apex and indeed we already have friends and family in Letchworth and Harpenden who plan to work with Apex as a result of our experience.

They completed a 2 story extension for us over our garage and to the back of our house. We had a number of quotes and were impressed by Stuart when we met him as well as his reasonable price. The quality of their workmanship was very good and people have commented on the finish. I am happy to recommend them.

We’ve used Stuart and his team for all sorts of jobs from a double story extension to driveway, kitchen refit and small plumbing works. I very much consider him ‘our’ builder and is the first person I speak to for advice on any job that needs doing. Work is always completed to very high standards and Stuart is always on hand to talk through any queries. On the big jobs he presented us with a detailed job plan so we knew what was going down the whole time the works were happening. Obviously building works are weather permitting occasionally but it really helps to know and understand where you are on a project. I wouldn’t use anyone else.

They did a fantastic job! They removed a massive wall from the kitchen through to the dining room to make the kitchen bigger, this required fitting an RSJ. They then fitted the new kitchen and appliances. It was quite a large job as it involved re-routing all of the pipe work. Stuart did a lot of the work himself and co-ordinated the plasterers and any other tradesmen involved on the project. They always turned up when they said they would and didn’t cut corners. They answered any queries we had and their price for the work was very reasonable. They did a very, very good job and we have recommended them to a friend.
